How Will You Measure Your Life?
Seeking and understanding the principles of what I want is a challenge and for every person on this earth. Going into a field that I desire, I've had a hard time understanding what I'm meant to do. In the video, "Do What You Love", the professor talks about 3 circles:
1. What You're Good At
2. What You're Born To Do
3. What Will Pay You To Do
Looking at this Venn Diagram, I noticed something that caught my eye: All 3 circles meet up at one point. The professor didn't go into detail about this, but my husband brought this up to me. You cannot have a component without the other. It requires all to be truly successful. It requires the ability to do what you're good at, to do what you were born to do, and do what will bring income. All 3 points are what bring success to those who desire it.
So how do I find what I'm good at? What will pay me to be successful? What am I born to do? These are questions that the human mind constantly asks. Our lives consistently try to find self worth and personal identity. The thing I have found to be the most effective is by asking the lord for guidance in what my gifts are. Asking the lord and studying on his doctrine is the guide and key to finding our personal identity. We are all given spiritual gifts before we came to earth to benefit our learning process. Once they are found, our goals and dreams become part of who we are. When finding our gifts lead us to success, the revelation is not going to come right away. With that, you will feel stressed and overwhelmed. Take it one step at a time. There is no reason to feel discouraged.
Hard work plays a huge factor in success, but so does time management. Do not overwork yourself thinking you'll be more successful. You won't. Life is delicate and needs to be balanced before diving head first into the pool of life. Manage your time and find ways to make use of it. You don't need to work 15 hours a day to be a successful entrepreneur. Your time and dedication to the small things are what will bring success.
The last video that I posted on here is about a girl named Sharon Mays. She committed to doing what she loved and opened a restaurant. I love music, especially when it comes to writing piano songs. I want to apply this gift and ability into my success as an entrepreneur. As long as my mindset stays positive and motivated, I am confident that it'll happen.
So with that said, what are you good at? What are you born to do? And what will you do to bring income?
