Honesty & Business Ethics :)
If you ever decide to jump into the entrepeneur life, here are 10 Top Things you must have to start a business. According to Frank, these are his simple steps:
1. Sticking with cheap furniture: You don't have to spend a lot of money when it comes to opening a business. Spend everything you can on great people.
2. Put up a sign: If you want people to know about your business, use your creative brain and come up with something. This will draw attention to people.
3. Raising limited capital: As you develop your own business, figure out ways to raise capital.
4. Money sources: Find people and sell your product. In the process of it all, get approved to receive a loan from the bank.
5. Using common sense and being open to opportunities: Think before you act, learn from your experiences, and be open to trying new things.
6. Having a family that is supportive: If you're ever feeling alone, remind yourself that you have family and friends to support you.
7. Targeting mass markets: Work with a bigger audience.
8. Be confident in your ideas: Learn continuously, make mistakes along the way, keep a positive mindset, and realize that your business won't be perfect.
9. Recognizing your customers and how real they are: Figure out and identify the best customers for your products. Put yourself in their shoes.
10. Choose a great partner: Find someone who shares the same values, brings skills to the table, and compliments your personality traits.
I love Ken's interview. There was something that really stood out to me, but before I dive into that, I'd like to share a quick thought that I mentioned in a different blog. When I reached the age of 19, I listened to the world and my life went spiraling downhill. I felt confused, lost, and alone. Seeking approval from others seemed like a good idea at the time, but that's all I ever did throughout my life. I cared too much about what other people thought of my choices. I turned to social media frequently, connecting with people around the world. Little did I know that people dealt with the same experiences as me. Most of them felt alone and frustrated. Why? These people had dreams and goals to become entrepreneurs, but there always seemed to be at least one person who disapproved their choices or doubted their abilities. As ken said in his video below, "WHO CARES!" He mentions a lot of information about his experiences as a kid and an adult, which I absolutely loved! We all have our own qualities and assets when it comes to working with other people.
So with that said, we need to learn to not care what others think of our attributes and just wing it! We need to "charge headfirst into a situation totally unprepared, inexperienced, and yet still make the best of it!"
