Choosing, Creating, and Running a Successful Online Business

     When creating and running a successful business, it requires a lot of time, self motivation, hard work, and money.  Read those words one more time. It is much harder than you can imagine.  You may be asking yourself, "Where do I start?  How am I going to do this?  And how much is everything going to cost?"  

 

    If this is a direction you're wanting to take, you need guidance. When I say guidance, I don't mean family and friends.  You need guidance from God.  You know why?  Because He knows you better than anyone else, including yourself.  You have developed many attributes and characteristics in the preexistence that you brought into this pre-mortal life.  He knows what you're capable of and the skills you need to develop here on earth.  So if you want to involve God, go sit down, collect your thoughts, and say a prayer.  Let Him help and guide you in the direction of His and your choosing.  While you're at it, do me a favor and choose this for yourself! Don't think about what others see you as.  Their perception of you will differ.  Your opinion and happiness is the one that matters most.

Where do I start?

    Before we begin, go grab some paper and write down these questions and answer them: What are your passions? What are you good at? What are some topics that interest you? And what is deeply important to you?  Remember.... this is about YOU and no one else.   If you end up choosing an online business that you have no interest in, you will most likely walk out and quit.  Do you want that?  No, because this is going to be YOUR online business!  Now for the next step: Choosing a niche.  

    Picking a niche can be hard, but it works!  This is when you can narrow down your competition and do a thorough analysis of your online business.  Google Ads is a great website to figure that out.  So if you want to know more about online advertising & creating a profitable business, head over to that page and do some research.

   

How am I going to do this?  

    Would you rather work by yourself or with other people?  There is no wrong or right answer here.  Depending on what you choose, look through all these business ideas!  I'm sure you can find something with your skills and work experience.  Once you come up with a business idea, stick with it and take action.  It's going to feel weird to get out of your comfort zone and try new things, but that's part of the process.  In one of my previous blogs, I dive more into lifelong learning.  Now this can be applied to anything, even if it involves running an online business.  How much is everything going to cost?

    Start up costs for an online business can vary, so it's different for everyone.  I couldn't tell you the exact costs since I don't know your specific business and what you're selling.  Just know this... running an online business is much cheaper than physical selling.  Therefore, it's affordable.  This website might give you an idea of how much it could cost.

    So with that said, do your research, take action, and make it happen!  You may experience a few challenges along the way, but that is completely normal.  I mean come on, you expect this to be easy?  Like I said, this is hard work!  You have to self motivate and commit yourself to choose, create, and run a successful online business.
